Reading Promotion Week 2

 Reading Promotion Week 2 for 2024

Under the PM SHRI (Pradhan Mantri School For Rising India) Intiative ,our school successfully organised Reading Promotion Week 2 in the month of October. This event was designated to foster a love for reading ,enhance students' literary skills ,and create a vibrant literary cullture within the school. The week featured a series of competitions ,all aimed at encouraging students to explore literature, express their creativity and develop critical thinking abilities.

Below is the detail list of activities:

Book Cover Making : Students were asked to design  book cover . This competition enculcate creativity among students.

Debate competition: A debate competition was organised on the the topic :Is social media harmful or helpful. Students of class VIII A and B prepared and presented in a good manner.

Book And Author competition: Quiz was organised to tell the the author of the book . Students were asked to tell the author of the books of hindi as well English.

Book Review Writing: Book Review writing competition was also organised among students .Secondary students were asked to write review in their library copy .

Book Exhbition under Hindi Pakhwada

 Book exhibition  of Hindi books was organised on 03/09/2024 under Hindi Pakhwada week. .Students were delighted to see so many Hindi Books 

.

 Under PM SHRI :Highlights from Reading Promotion Week- 1 JULY 2024

PM SHRI KENDRIA VIDYALAYA AFS THANE SHIFT 1 recently  celebrated Reading Promotion Week from 24 August to 30,2024 .This initiative, part of the Pradhan Mantri schools for Rising India Program ,aimed to inspire a love for reading among students through a variety of engaging activities.

Key Activities:

E- Comic Reading The week began with reading comics in the class on the smart board . Each student was decided to be one character from comics .Students enjoyed reading comics in the class

Book Mark Making Competition.: Students were engaged into making a book mark for their books .Book mark making competition  was held in befitted manner.

One word Competition: In this competition students were asked to write one word for many words ..They were given one phrase and one word was asked about that phrase.

Sketch of Author: Students were asked to draw the sketch of the favourite author they know . Students actively took part in drawing of sketch .

Story Telling Competition: Students were asked to narrate a story . Many students came forward and narrated story and many did improvisation in may old stories.
